Save the entrée’s for last and head straight to the dessert table where we have Muse who is busy attending weddings (and we hope eating Wedding Cake).

Be sure to thank Nelumbo and her Garden Blog for the lovely floral arrangement in the center of the tables. Just don’t sneak around and try to find violations on her. After all, it’s not a violation if you can’t see it without trespassing.

You can have your bread and butter it too thanks to Cheryl at Bread and Bread who proves that the heart is predictable above all things.

When you make your way over to the fruit buffet be sure to check out the flower-garnished platter of papaya and even try a few pieces so you’ll be bombarded with memories like Marisa was. Although you may want to bypass the prunes or you’ll REALLY be bombarded (or is that Bombarding).

If the roast beef doesn’t suit you, head on over to Leesepea’s section of the buffet for some SPAM. But wait! There’s more… She is making toast of all sorts of tasty brands of SPAM such as ones labeled “Meet Bridget” and The Reliant Conjugate.

You might find Kevin munching away over by the wraps.

And at the head table we have a spot reserved for Lorie of Colla Voce. Having Lorie at the head table is only fitting because although Lorie is not a member of the clean-plate club she is old enough to be a princess (even though she doesn’t think so). And with Lorie just having come from the Princess Di exhibit in Dayton we hereby crown her our Smorgaboard princess!

You'll find Neil by the carving station hoping for a slice of turkey breast or even chicken breast. Actually Neil will take any breast as long as it isn’t a flat breast. After accompanying Sophia to her mammogram and getting ganged up on by a waiting room full of women I would think Neil might have an aversion to squished breasts. In fact, why don’t you go for the roast beef Neil?
And speaking of turkey, Random Yak should have nabbed that wild turkey (known as Wandering Wanda) that’s been roaming around Cincinnati, Kentucky. Wandering Wanda would have made an excellent addition to our buffet.

Please move quickly through the serving line so others don’t have to wait. We wouldn’t want to get Kerry upset and make her possibly cuss. Although she claims to curse like a drunken sailor getting a scrotum tattoo in the real world, we have noticed that she is one of the few bloggers without a F-bomb or B-word on her blog we would like to keep it that way. So clear the way and let Kerry pass to the head of the line.
Kiss My Sass almost didn’t join us for this lovely pot luck smorgasbord as she was busy eating Mexican food and getting whipped cream smeared in her face. Happy Birthday Sass and don’t worry, we don’t have any whipped cream here.
You’ll notice that Miriam brought her relatives with her (on the paternal side) because …gasp… they are ALL talking to each other right now. I KNOW… that never happens in my family either! Enjoy it while it lasts Miriam!

Mike from La Dolce Vita is going to be a little late as he is not arriving until after he attends a certain concert (I want comp tickets too Mike!). But the cool thing is he may bring some old friends with him that he saw at the concert from his old neighborhood. Watch out though, I hear he might be stopping by Pats or Geno’s for a cheesesteak on the way here, and the jealousy of someone else eating a cheesesteak (aka not me - boo hoo) might kill me. You could have brought us all a “cheese wit” Mike!
And who is that sneaking in the back door alone? Why it’s none other than our very own Tracy! Why is Tracy dateless tonight? Well would we really want her to be bringing the Psycho-Junkie, the Clown, or the guy who cried and stalked her after dating her only a week? No, I didn’t think so. Help yourself to some cheese Tracey, it goes well with
Meanwhile that’s Sara over there by the table of donuts. Watch out for her because she is sticking her finger in each donut in her cause to find a state donut for California. We agree with the “Buttermilk Old-Fashioned” as well Sara, just make sure it has powdered sugar and not glaze on top.
You’ll notice that Hyperion arrived coatless and smelling slightly of cheap hootch and unwashed flesh. Please forgive Hyperion as things were different until that walk in the moonlight. Could someone spare a coat and a sandwich to help a fellow human being out?
That person crying into her martini over by the bar? Why that’s Nance and don’t worry, those are tears of joy and appreciation, kind of like the tears a man might shed over the unveiling of a Camaro concept car.

Wordnerd is shaking her head at all of the smorgasbord choices. She is conditioned to getting what she didn’t want in the drive through line. So please, someone run over there and put mustard on all the burgers (she hates mustard) and put the fries under ice so they will be nice and cold when she goes for them. After all, we do want her to feel at home.
And there we have it, yet another carnival come and gone. I hope everyone got their fill and for those of you who need it, the pepto bismal is on the table by the exit. Be sure to tip your waiters and have a safe trip home. See you next Carnival!
